An open and welcoming community for Croatians in the UK 

Hrvatski Svjetski Kongres - UK (HSK-UK) is the Croatian World Congress in the United Kingdom. HSK is part of the Croatian World Congress an international, non-profit and non-governmental organisation.  The main aim of the HSK is to connect all Croatians outside Croatia.


Introduction


Primarily a social organisation the HSK-UK aims to foster a good network between Croatians in the UK for mutual support and help.  Other areas that the HSK-UK adresses are: Humanitarian Aid for Croatia; Reconstruction and Investment in Croatia; Culture and Sport in Croatia, Croatian Education and Homeland Relations; Promotion of and Information about Croatia; Return to and Immigration from Croatia; Croatian Youth issues.  Furthermore, the HSK-UK seeks to identify and celebrate any person or organisation that has made a substantial contribution to Croatian life or culture as well as to foster creativity amongst Croatians in the UK with regular competitions.  These events are regularly publicised on our upcoming events page on this website.


Background


The HSK was founded in 1993, with its headquarters in New York, United States. HSK-UK was established the same year and for many years was run by Mr Michael Pack who to this day remains the honarary President of HSK-UK.  In 1998 CWC was admitted to the United Nations as a non-governmental international organization with consultative status.  Today the HSK is active in over 30 countries, including Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Montenegro, Chile, Denmark, France, Italy, JAR, Canada, Liechtenstein, Hungary, Macedonia, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Germany, Peru, Romania, USA, Slovakia, Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Uruguay and, of course, the UK.
